Honey Glazed Carrots With Orange (Or Tangerines)

Honey Glazed Carrots With Orange (Or Tangerines)

From a very early age, we’re taught that we should make our plates colourful by adding vegetables to our dinner. These vegetable sides don’t have to be boring! This time, I’m coming with a recipe for honey glazed carrots, seasoned with freshly squeezed orange juice, rosemary and thyme. They’re soft and delicate and make a perfect side for chicken dishes (but not only those!).

9 Interesting Novelty Kitchen Gadgets

9 Interesting Novelty Kitchen Gadgets

If you’ve been following this blog for a while, you know how I love food – especially making it. I think it will come as no surprise when I say that kitchen is my favourite room in the house and kitchen gadgets and equipment are among my favourite things to buy (it takes a lot of willpower to refrain from splurging money on every new kitchen item I see). I’ve recently had a long session of scrolling the Internet in search for the most bizarre kitchen gadgets I might be missing in my house, and I came across a great deal of novelty items. Some of them useful, practical and inexpensive, others – just eyecatching and perhaps slightly overpriced. They all caught my attention though, so I thought I’d share them with you – maybe there’s something you didn’t know about until this day that you’ll decide you desperately need in your kitchen?

Chickpea Tomato And Bell Peppers Curry

Chickpea Tomato And Bell Peppers Curry

I’m a great fan of curry dishes of all kinds, for two reasons. First of all, their spiciness is so perfectly warming – ideal for someone like me, who believes that every weather below 30°C is basically ice age (no, I don’t live in Sahara Desert, I live in a climate where 30°C is a rather rare occurrence). Secondly, vegetable curry stews are extremely practical – there’s not much preparation needed, some of the ingredients come in cans… you just throw everything in the pot, let it cook for a quarter or two – and that’s it, dinner for 2 days done and dusted.

Quilling Guide – Tools

Quilling Guide – Tools

I’ve already posted about my creations in quilling technique – the art of creating designs out of swirled paper strips – quite a few times. It’s generally my go-to type of papercrafts and I use it for all different purposes: from cards, through gift tags to jewellery and 3D mini paper items. So I thought I’d post an extensive guide to my favourite papercraft, covering all of the tools and their uses, basic shapes and techniques. Part one – about the tools – is here!

Simple DIY Bookmarks

Simple DIY Bookmarks

If you like to both read and craft, this project should be up your street. I’m bringing you the idea for simple (though cute) DIY bookmarks. The whole project can be done in about 15 minutes! It’s also a great one to do with children, as it doesn’t require great manual skills. And it may encourage the little ones to both craft and read! You’ll need one of those floral hole cutters for this project, they can be found in craft stores or online and usually cost peanuts. They’re great to have overall, super useful in papercrafts!

Flourless Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Flourless Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

If, just like me, you’re an unconditional fan of peanut butter – you’re going to love these cookies. Flourless – therefore, gluten-free – they’re mainly based on peanut butter – and that’s where they get their taste from. And although it might be surprising, I’d actually place them on the healthier side of cookie recipes – there’s no flour or regular butter – they’re replaced by peanut butter, which – despite being high in calories – happens to count as healthy food. The only unhealthy part of the recipe is sugar – yes, there’s probably a lot of it, but I still believe overall these cookies aren’t that bad, compared to some other recipes!
