DIY Cross Stitch Set – Feathers

DIY Cross Stitch Set – Feathers

As it usually happens this time of year, I’ve been drawn to spending my spare time outdoors and haven’t picked up too many DIY projects. But last week, for some reason, I really fancied some cross stitch fun. I reached to my stash of assorted kits and decided to work on one I’ve been saving for absolute ages. I don’t know why, but I really liked this design, at least based on the packaging. So much so that I essentially kept it for a special occasion. Turns out, the special occasion was a random week in June. Why not! Although the set itself wasn’t perfect, I enjoyed cross stitching these feathers and it didn’t take me long to finish the whole project.

DIY Crochet Set – Hot Air Balloon

DIY Crochet Set – Hot Air Balloon

It’s been over a year since I started cross stitching, and I really enjoy being able to pick a crochet set and work on it start to finish without the need to look up video tutorials every 5 minutes. The project I completed most recently was a cute hot air balloon key chain. I completed it last week, but I started it… last August! I brought it on holiday with me when I went to York, but didn’t finish it then. And when I got back home, I got distracted and put it away. And unfortunately, once I set a DIY project aside, I rarely pick it back up again. However, having made a New Year’s resolution to use up my DIY supplies, I decided to complete this crocheted hot air balloon. Here is how it went!

The Best Salad For BBQ – 4 Ingredients – Refreshing And Light – Polish Pico De Gallo

The Best Salad For BBQ – 4 Ingredients – Refreshing And Light – Polish Pico De Gallo

After a relatively cold start of the spring, the weather took a turn and we saw record-breaking temperatures at the end of May. It was over 35°C in London (which felt more like 50°C), and technically, it wasn’t even summer yet. Immediately, I was in the mood for light and refreshing food, inspired by Polish traditions. Unfortunately, I don’t own a grill – I don’t have a garden, nor even a balcony – but I do have an air fryer, so it did the job. I grilled some chicken kebabs, but I also made a side salad to go with them – and that’s what I want to share with you today. I suppose it’s a Polish version of pico de gallo. It only requires 4 ingredients, it’s super easy to make, and it’s just the best, most refreshing thing for a hot day. Honestly, I ate it as a snack straight from the bowl on those scorching days.

DIY Cross Stitch Set – Neon Turtle

DIY Cross Stitch Set – Neon Turtle

My most recently completed cross stitch project was a cute turtle in neon colours. It might be one of my favourite cross stitch projects to date! Partly because I love reptiles, and partly because the vibrant, neon colours of this design were super fun to sew. Although it was a large set (the kits I buy in TK Maxx usually come in two sizes, small and large), I finished it in just a couple of days.

Where To See Animals In London For Free – Lemurs, Peacocks, Pelicans, Farm Animals And More

Where To See Animals In London For Free – Lemurs, Peacocks, Pelicans, Farm Animals And More

I love animals and just like I did when I was a child, I still love visiting places where I can see, or even interact with animals. Frankly, even seeing a squirrel in my local park makes me happy! Earlier this year, I visited the London Zoo. It’s a great place, but the tickets are too expensive to visit it regularly. So today, I’m bringing you a list of places in London where you can see various animals for free. From native wildlife to exotic monkeys, there are plenty of options. Great for the little ones, but adults like me will also enjoy them!
