This year, I decided to take a look at astrology – an interesting, though controversial subject – and each month examine one star sign and the personality features it allegedly entails. Last month we had a look at Aquarians and – to my surprise – the overwhelming majority of you claimed that the star sign, even if not the most important factor in determining one’s personality, played an important role and often influenced our choices. The characteristics of Aquarian personality seemed to match Aquarian representatives fairly well. I’m curious to see if the trend continues. Today, Pisces take over and they’ll reign until the 20th of March.
Star signs. A controversial subject. Some deeply believe that our fate and personality traits are all written in the stars, eagerly track horoscopes and when in doubt – ask the skies for opinion. Others play astrology down, considering it to be a collection of made-up fairy tales. Personally, I simply find the whole concept fascinating and – being naturally curious – thought I’d like to learn more about the idea that’s been growing and evolving for centuries.
There are many different types of horoscopes and many branches of astrology. This year, I’m going to focus on classic Western astrology and its twelve star signs.
Aquarius is the ruling star sign between the 20th/21st of January and the 18th-20th of February (exact dates differ between years). Since the month of Aquarius begins around today-tomorrow, it’s a good opportunity to have a look at the features of this star sign and its bearers. Let’s get started, shall we?
‘The hell are you carrying in there? Bricks?!’ If I got a pound every time I heard that I’d be a millionaire now. I only have bare necessities in my bag though! A lot of them… sure… but I do need them all. 1. Hand sanitizer. Cause there’s nothing worse than accidentally touching something sticky and being unable to wash your hands. 2. Adhesive band-aid. … Continue reading Why my bag weighs a ton – what’s in my bag – essentials
A little throwback to January. Looks like all I did that month was eat and craft Hopefully February will bring more diversity, although the weather is still wintery (we got hit by a fresh supply of snow last night…) and doesn’t encourage leaving the warmth and coziness of my house. I do however have one exciting afternoon planned for next week and I can’t wait for it!
I know, I know. Most of you are probably thinking: ‘Saying goodbye to Christmas now? It’s February!’. Well, in Polish tradition (which originates from catholic traditions), we’re allowed to keep all Christmas decorations and Christmas trees for over a month after the actual holiday, until February 2nd! Pretty cool, isn’t it? Having that lovely Christmas spirit at home for such a long time 🙂
Hello everyone ^^ The first month of 2018 is gone. Or will be, in a few hours. And it feels strange! This passing month was probably more productive than the entirety of 2017 for me, but on the other hand I still feel like Christmas was literally yesterday, not… 5 weeks ago? Am I the only one feeling like this? Getting onto the point. This … Continue reading New Year’s Resolutions – January update
Hello. As I promised in my previous post, I’m going to go through my New Year’s resolutions now. I never used to make any resolutions, but this time I really needed to start working on improving my life and it just happened to be around New Year’s, so I came up with a plan to work on from January 1st. All of my resolutions are … Continue reading New Year’s Resolutions 2018
Hello and welcome back. Today, I’m coming with another storytime post. I’ve been thinking for quite a while whether I should post this, but I feel like the story is so unusual that it’s worth sharing. Until now, only 3 of my friends have heard about it. I’ve always been more active online than in real life, so quite naturally I made a few online … Continue reading The weirdest and most mysterious online relationship
Feeling lonely? Prepare in advance and smash it with a simple plan! Happy New Year everyone! I need to start by saying that the Christmas time was extremely busy for me and that’s why I took a short break off blogging. There was no new episode of my You are what you eat series last week, but it will be coming tomorrow. Now, however, I’d … Continue reading Breakup anniversary
A few words about why it’s good to be selfish and put yourself first. It’s good to take care of others, but we shouldn’t lose ourselves in the process. Continue reading Finding your place – why it’s good to be selfish
