Watercolour Card – Camera with Flowers

Watercolour Card – Camera with Flowers

Today’s craft is the last but one card of the season. The only one left to make is a card for my Mum’s birthday. Today however, I’m sharing the card I made for my Dad for Father’s Day, which in Poland is every year on June 23rd. And since my dad loves photography, I thought I’d make a camera-themed watercolour card. With flowers, of course – every card needs some flowers!

Chicken and Leek Pie

Chicken and Leek Pie

Being in lockdown, I had plenty of time to experiment in the kitchen. One of my favourite recent inventions is this chicken and leek pie. It was something I had on my mind for a long time, but also something I’ve never attempted before – nor anything remotely similar. I had a look online and found a few recipes for a pie of this kind, combined them all, added my personal touch… the results definitely exceeded my expectations.

Columbia Road Flower Market

Columbia Road Flower Market

One of the reasons why I love London is that despite being a huge city, it has a small town vibe as soon as you leave the tourist and business oriented central zone. My commute to the City (the part of central London with all the glass skyscrapers) takes only 10 minutes, and where I live feels much like a small town area. Short, brick buildings, local shops, green parks and interesting markets. One of such markets is the Columbia Road Flower Market.

Watercolour Birthday Card – Flowers

Watercolour Birthday Card – Flowers

Continuing with the watercolour cards (I’ve not forgotten about quilling, just using this year’s birthday and other occasion season to try something new), I recently made a floral card for my grandma’s birthday.

Kew Gardens in the Rain

Kew Gardens in the Rain

One of my very last trips before coronavirus lockdown was a visit at Kew Gardens, on the 5th of March. There’s a similar place near my home town, and expecting tropical, indoor gardens, I decided to visit Kew Gardens on a gloomy, winter day. Something I was not aware of is that Kew Gardens, as opposed to the similar place in Gliwice, consist of multiple buildings and outdoor spaces. Ouch. Yep, I got completely soaked. Totally worth it! However, I do need to repeat this trip in summer, perhaps after lockdown.

Acrylic Painting – Gecko

Acrylic Painting – Gecko

Having to stay at home made me rediscover my passion for arts and crafts. I used to do plenty of them, as you can tell from this blog, but ever since I moved abroad last September, I was focused on building my new life and didn’t spend much time crafting at all. Luckily, the spark was reignited and my flat is now cluttered with crafts in progress and art supplies. And I like it that way!

Frozen Yoghurt Bark

Frozen Yoghurt Bark

Summer is just around the corner now and even here, in London, we’ve had a few hot days already. Having ice cream every day is tempting, but probably not the healthiest choice – at least not store bought ice cream packed with sugar. That doesn’t mean we can’t have a nice, frozen treat whenever we feel like our body is beginning to melt. Yes, you heard it right – you can have a frozen treat every day and stay healthy! And here is how.

Watercolour Birthday Gecko Card

Watercolour Birthday Gecko Card

Just like me, my sister loves geckos. After all, aren’t they some of the cutest little creatures? I decided to broaden my horizons and give quilling a break whilst I experiment with  other mediums. I’ve already made a card for Mother’s Day, and now it was time to make a card for my sister’s birthday.

Chocolate Breakfast Quinoa

Chocolate Breakfast Quinoa

Many of us are stuck at homes under lockdown, and it’s important to look after ourselves and eat healthily. But healthy doesn’t have to be dull and flavourless! Today, I’m coming with a healthy breakfast treat recipe. Perhaps slightly less healthy than a smoothie from leafy greens, but still made with natural ingredients, low in fat and sugar, but packed with protein and macro elements. And most importantly – delicious!
