Just like me, my sister loves geckos. After all, aren’t they some of the cutest little creatures? I decided to broaden my horizons and give quilling a break whilst I experiment with other mediums. I’ve already made a card for Mother’s Day, and now it was time to make a card for my sister’s birthday.
I started with a sketch, then coloured the gecko with watercolours and added some contour definition with a sharpie.
Next, I added some watercolour balloons.
Last, but not least, I added some highlights on the balloons with white acrylic paint. And that’s it, the card was ready! I’m very happy with how it turned out and I hope my sister loves it as much as I do.
Check out my other cards and watercolour adventures!

That’s amazing! Wish her a happy birthday. 💛

Nice birthday card, I really like how you created a stylized character of the Geko!
