The beginning of February came with another wave of fresh snow. And although the majority of it has now melted away, days are getting longer and we see more and more sunlight – it’s still pretty cold and spring is far away, barely seen on the horizon. And that means one thing – spicy, warming food is still needed and desired. Today, I’m bringing you my trusted recipe for spicy sweet potato stew!

3 Reasons Why You Should Read Food Ingredient Lists
Oh, lovely food. We’re blessed to be alive in the 21st century, living in developed countries where supermarket shelves are packed with an extremely wide variety of products. We’re lucky to be able to choose between different brands and types of food. So how do we choose which item to purchase? I’d highly recommend that we read ingredient lists and make conscious, wise choices. And – hopefully, in the future – force brands to increase their standards. Reading ingredient lists can help you save money, stay healthier and avoid disappointments. Here’s why.

“Kopytka” – Quark Cheese Dumplings
Today, I’m coming with another specialty of Polish cuisine. I’m not sure how to properly describe it in English keeping the word count down to a title-acceptable amount. I guess the best match would be something between dumplings and gnocchi (which are also a type of dumplings actually, aren’t they?). “Kopytka”, in Polish, translate to hooves. That’s because traditionally, you’d shape the dough into a roll, flatten it slightly, and cut diagonally into parallelograms (getting mathematical here, sorry!). These shapes resemble the shape of horse hooves (if you look at horse feet from the side – not that you’d ever have a reason to look at horse hooves from the side, but just saying). Mine don’t look like hooves, for just one simple reason – I’m too lazy to roll and cut the dough. Instead, I just shaped the dough into balls.
Chicken Tikka Masala
So the America’s leading meteorologist – groundhog Phil – predicted an early spring this year. Phew! I think all of us living in the northern hemisphere and having to deal with snow and frost are relieved to hear that. However, it doesn’t look like spring is about to come within the next few days, sadly. We still have some cold days ahead of us, and what can be better for those occasions than spicy, warming, delicious food? Curry type dishes are my go-to in winter. Today, I’d like to share my recipe for Chicken Tikka Masala!

Benefits Of Strength Training (Girls, It Applies To You Too!)
January is the time when most of us do our best to stick to New Year’s resolutions. And what’s the most popular of them? According to this study, top three resolutions made for 2019 were to diet, exercise and lose weight. Today, I would like to take a look at a dark horse of exercise niche, usually overlooked by those getting into fitness routine in order to improve physical condition and/or lose weight – strength training. Contrary to popular belief, strength training isn’t only about lifting extremely heavy weights by huge, muscular guys. It’s a kind of training that should be part of everyone’s fitness routine, as it brings serious benefits! And no, dear girls, you won’t look like Arnold Schwarzenegger in his best years after exercising with a set of dumbbells twice a week – whether you like it or not.

How To Make 2019 Your Year
Hello again, for the first time in 2019!
I hope you had a great night and started this brand new year on a positive note. Personally, I love this time of year. The new beginning, the empty page that we’re going to fill systematically with new memories and experiences for the next 365 days. The time when we can leave certain things in the past, labelled with previous year’s number, hidden in the deepest corners of our memory, doomed to never again see the light of day.
5 Most Useful Fitness Accessories
Welcome back after the short Christmas break! I hope you had a lovely time with your nearest and dearest!
I’m sure most of us still have some scrumptious leftovers from Christmas feasts. But at the same time, we’re now fast approaching the season of making New Year’s Resolutions. I probably won’t be wrong if I say that at least half of those who make resolutions will include – in one way of another – being physically active, improving their fitness level, hitting the gym, or just generally trying to spend less time on the sofa, in front of the TV.
Last year, I was among those who decided to work out in the New Year. I decided to do it every day and, to my surprise, I actually managed to stick to that plan for about 10 months. Let’s have a quick look at how it went! I will also include a list of most useful fitness accessories which helped me stick to the plan.
