Handmade Cards 2021 – I
It’s been a while since I posted photos of my handmade cards, but fear not! I definitely still make them for all family occasions! But just to have a record of them on the blog – for you, and for myself – I thought I would make a recap in two posts. This is the first of them, with cards I made for my dad’s birthday, my grandmother’s birthday and my sister’s birthday.

October the 1st marks the start of Halloween season, even if the supermarkets make it look like it’s Christmas already. As much as I love Christmas, I do like to have an autumnal transition period between summer and Christmas. I can’t imagine any Halloween celebrations actually taking place this year, but it doesn’t mean I can’t decorate the house as if everything was normal.
How To Draw A Mandala
In recent years, mandalas significantly grew in popularity. Loads of arts and crafts ideas use mandala patterns, they can make spectacular, abstract designs in drawings and paintings. There are mandalas printed on T-shirts, mandala wallpapers and even mandala tattoos are more and more common. I’ve written about the trivia of the patterns of Asian origin before. Mini Watercolour Tags
A while ago, I decided to let my long-forgotten watercolours shine and spent an afternoon playing with them. I created a few simple bookmarks that day and was left with some scraps of watercolour paper which I didn’t want to go to waste. So, without a real plan, I made a few little tags. They’re really tiny – 3.5x5cm – but I think they’d look okay used as gift tags, perhaps?

Quilling Card – Grandmother’s Day
The 21st of January, in Poland, is when we celebrate Grandmother’s Day. And who, if not grandparents, can really appreciate handmade gifts? After all, to them we’ll always remain their beloved little grandchildren, no matter the age.
Naturally, I made a card for my Grandmother. A card in quilling technique (oh what a surprise, right? 😉 ). So I’ve been on this papercrafting spree since the New Year’s… first making gift tags, now switching to cards 😀 One of them will go to my grandma on Grandmother’s Day (we celebrate it on January 21st), the rest… no idea, but I’ll sure find a use for them 🙂
My desk is an absolute mess after 2 weeks of quilling, I should clean it up and take a short break from messy crafting for a while…
