Benefits Of Strength Training (Girls, It Applies To You Too!)
January is the time when most of us do our best to stick to New Year’s resolutions. And what’s the most popular of them? According to this study, top three resolutions made for 2019 were to diet, exercise and lose weight. Today, I would like to take a look at a dark horse of exercise niche, usually overlooked by those getting into fitness routine in order to improve physical condition and/or lose weight – strength training. Contrary to popular belief, strength training isn’t only about lifting extremely heavy weights by huge, muscular guys. It’s a kind of training that should be part of everyone’s fitness routine, as it brings serious benefits! And no, dear girls, you won’t look like Arnold Schwarzenegger in his best years after exercising with a set of dumbbells twice a week – whether you like it or not.

How To Make 2019 Your Year
Hello again, for the first time in 2019!
I hope you had a great night and started this brand new year on a positive note. Personally, I love this time of year. The new beginning, the empty page that we’re going to fill systematically with new memories and experiences for the next 365 days. The time when we can leave certain things in the past, labelled with previous year’s number, hidden in the deepest corners of our memory, doomed to never again see the light of day.
5 Most Useful Fitness Accessories
Welcome back after the short Christmas break! I hope you had a lovely time with your nearest and dearest!
I’m sure most of us still have some scrumptious leftovers from Christmas feasts. But at the same time, we’re now fast approaching the season of making New Year’s Resolutions. I probably won’t be wrong if I say that at least half of those who make resolutions will include – in one way of another – being physically active, improving their fitness level, hitting the gym, or just generally trying to spend less time on the sofa, in front of the TV.
Last year, I was among those who decided to work out in the New Year. I decided to do it every day and, to my surprise, I actually managed to stick to that plan for about 10 months. Let’s have a quick look at how it went! I will also include a list of most useful fitness accessories which helped me stick to the plan.
How To Have A Healthy Christmas
Ho, ho, ho! Merry Christmas, everyone! I believe we can all agree that Christmas season is very much here, officially. And although there’s nothing wrong in eating all of the delicious festive food every once in a while, I know for a fact that those trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle on a daily basis might find it difficult to keep the right balance around holidays. Here are a few ways to minimize the bad effects of a Christmas feast. Which, by the way, isn’t as bad as you might assume! I’ve recently posted about 5 real health benefits of Christmas food – make sure to check it out in case you’ve missed it!
5 Health Benefits of Christmas Food
I think we’ve all come to terms with the fact that around Christmas we’ll be guilty of eating unhealthily. That’s something we seem to simply accept, with a firm resolution that after Christmas – or maybe after the New Year’s – we’ll get back on track, eat whole, clean foods, hit the gym and put an end to all of our unhealthy habits. And although the majority of festive treats are, indeed, full of fat and sugar (both are fine when consumed in moderation, but the sin we’re most often guilty of is overeating – especially bad when you overeat on unhealthy food), demonizing Christmas food as a whole is a bit unfair. Here are a few health benefits of Christmas food, which you might have never thought about. And when you end up feeling guilty after this year’s Christmas dinner, think back to reading this article and don’t be too harsh on yourself.
Feeling lonely? Prepare in advance and smash it with a simple plan!
2016 was by far the worst year in my life. The breakup resulted in being alienated from the society for a very long time, and even now, a year later, I barely have any real contact with people. I can’t say I can always deal with loneliness when it hits me, but I feel like I’ve worked out a way to increase my chances of going through it easily and without a real breakdown.

Healthy Eating Habits – Easy First Steps
For the last few years I’ve been following quite healthy eating habits – not in an obsessive manner though. When a few months ago I graduated from university and started working full-time, I soon realised that the new lifestyle resulted in my habits getting worse – unhealthy snacks, heavy lunch meals in our on-site bar etc. I spent a while making a plan on how to improve in that field without too much effort and missing out on taste (my goal wasn’t weight loss diet but maintaining a healthy lifestyle that still contains delicious food). Here’s my list of ideas, some of them I’ve been following for a few years, the others for a few months only – but I already know they work for me and I definitely don’t constantly think that I’m missing out on something. Life’s too short to eat food we don’t like after all. 🙂
