After moving to London in September last year, I had only one goal – to spend some time by the sea before autumn and winter come with their rain and cold. Busy with looking for a flat (I moved countries with an Airbnb booked for just 5 weeks – I needed something permanent ASAP!), I could only afford to leave the city on the first weekend in between flat viewings. I had one Sunday afternoon to spare – and I decided to use it wisely and see the sea and catch the last rays of sun. What a great idea it was!

Quilling Floral Birthday Card
It’s been a looong time since I last did any type of crafts. After moving out from my family house and starting a new life abroad I’ve been busy trying to figure out the adult life in the rare moments of spare time. Autumn has always seen a downfall of crafting for me – all of the occasions such as Mother’s Day or family members’ birthdays fall between March and July, so I usually do most of my cardmaking in that period. My dad’s birthday comes first, so his birthday card is typically my first quilling craft in the year.
Simple Cauliflower Vegan Curry Recipe
Is there any food better than spicy, aromatic, warming curry for this cold, miserable winter season? I don’t think there is! This is what keeps me alive in winter, I usually end up eating some kind of curry a few times a week. And what I love about it is how simple and quick it is to make – hardly any effort involved! You can easily multiply the ingredients and prepare dinner for a few days in one go – it tastes just as good when heated up the next day. 🙂
Zoo Trip – Chorzów, Poland
I started writing this post in August last year and never finished it. September brought a lot of changes to my previously calm and boring life and I needed to focus on making it all successful. It’s a shame I didn’t get to post this when I originally planned to, but I do believe these photos are worth publishing, even with a massive delay. Here it is, a travel in time back to August 2019! (Everything below was written half a year ago)
Festive Gingerbread Porridge
I’m a great, unconditional fan of porridge. Some may hate it, but I certainly love it. It’s my staple breakfast which I eat on average 5 times a week – usually in the 5-minute, no-cook office breakfast version. It does its job and tastes great, but I’m always more than happy to use a chance to cook my porridge. Being in the festive season, I decided to create a Christmas version of my favourite breakfast. Here’s a recipe for my perfect festive, warming, aromatic, gingerbread porridge!
DIY Last Minute Christmas Gift – Cookie Dough In A Jar
You probably know it already, but I’ll say it just in case: Christmas is just around the corner. Some of us have already finished their Christmas gift shopping. Others, perhaps, still haven’t even started. Whichever group you belong to, you might want to add some original, simple DIY gifts to your list. The idea I’m bringing you today will be perfect to use as a gift for someone who loves to bake. It’s very flexible too, so you can easily adjust it to further personalise this little present. The thing I’m talking about is a DIY cookie mix in a jar.

DIY Christmas Cutlery Bands
December for me is usually filled with cooking and baking. Honestly, it feels like I barely leave the kitchen! If it wasn’t for work, I’d likely build a pillow fortress in the kitchen for December, to stay there even for those rare times when I decide to get some sleep. This time, I took a short break from playing with food and decided to work on a little inedible project for the Christmas table – cutlery bands!
The Ultimate Christmas Gift Guide
Hey everyone! Christmas season is almost there – and that means we’re in the heat of trying to find the perfect gifts for our nearest and dearest. Last year, I compiled a huge list of ideas for Christmas gifts for him, her, parents, grandparents, a list of stocking fillers and more! Here’s a shortcut to all parts of the guide – I hope you find them useful! 🙂
Corn Flakes Chicken Nuggets
Today’s recipe is an excellent idea for a party snack, but it can also be used as part of a lunchbox. Delicious chicken nuggets, but with a twist! Healthy (oven-baked instead of deep-fried), with Corn Flakes as breading. Yummy!
Indoor Gardens – Palm House – Palmiarnia, Gliwice, Poland
Even though it’s summer and most days are warm to even hot, I never have enough of high, almost tropical temperatures. The forecast for Wednesday last week was relatively poor (only around 20°C, with possible showers?!), so because summer decided not to come to me that day, I thought I’d go and chase it myself. In the city where I used to study (just a 25-minute train ride from my town), there are indoor tropical gardens – or, as we call it, a palm house (palm trees don’t normally grow here in this climate). I believe it’s a similar place to more popular Kew Gardens in London, though I’m yet to visit those, so I can only guess.
