Healthy Oven Baked Chips – Potato Wedges

Healthy Oven Baked Chips – Potato Wedges

Potato chips  – also known as fries across the pond – are undoubtedly one of the most famous foods around the world. Served in fast food restaurants and often as a side in posh places. Chips made at home don’t taste that great though, especially if you don’t have a deep frying machine. But that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy a delicious potato side at home! This recipe was perfected by my mum and it’s one of my favourite sides. A cross between chips and roasted potato wedges that will enhance many dinner ideas.

Lemonade Ice Cubes

Lemonade Ice Cubes

Of all summer recipes there are two that belong to this season the most. The first one is ice cream – something I’m yet to attempt – and the second are ice cubes. You could say that ice cubes don’t need a recipe – you just freeze some filtered water and that’s it. And that’s true, you don’t need a recipe, but you can use one for a nice, fancy result.

Summer Smoothie

Summer Smoothie

I love seasonal summer fruits. Who doesn’t? Winter gets so boring when the only fresh, tasty, widely available fruits are apples and bananas. That’s why in summer my each trip to a supermarket ends with some fresh fruits in my bag, and a few days later I have a bunch of very ripe fruits that need to be used as soon as possible. And what’s the best way to use ripe fruits? Making a smoothie, of course.

Carrot Cake With White Chocolate Cream

Carrot Cake With White Chocolate Cream

It’s been a while since I posted a layered cake recipe. This one is a great idea for when you need an impressive looking cake that’s simple and fairly quick to make. I generally love carrot cakes, but carrot cakes alone are often pretty dry, and get even drier the next day. This cake is fairly moist, and the white chocolate cream adds to it. It stays moist and tasty even one or two days later.

Bounty Coconut and Chocolate Porridge

Bounty Coconut and Chocolate Porridge

If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you will know that I love porridge. It’s quick, it’s healthy, it’s nutritious, and you can experiment with the flavours and toppings, so it’s never boring. Just like I love my porridge, I love my sweets. I used to hate coconut as a child, but as I grew older, I began to love it. Now, I love coconut in both savoury dishes (hello, delicious curry) and sweets, and Bounty chocolates are high on my personal top tier sweets list.

Chicken and Leek Pie

Chicken and Leek Pie

Being in lockdown, I had plenty of time to experiment in the kitchen. One of my favourite recent inventions is this chicken and leek pie. It was something I had on my mind for a long time, but also something I’ve never attempted before – nor anything remotely similar. I had a look online and found a few recipes for a pie of this kind, combined them all, added my personal touch… the results definitely exceeded my expectations.

Frozen Yoghurt Bark

Frozen Yoghurt Bark

Summer is just around the corner now and even here, in London, we’ve had a few hot days already. Having ice cream every day is tempting, but probably not the healthiest choice – at least not store bought ice cream packed with sugar. That doesn’t mean we can’t have a nice, frozen treat whenever we feel like our body is beginning to melt. Yes, you heard it right – you can have a frozen treat every day and stay healthy! And here is how.

Chocolate Breakfast Quinoa

Chocolate Breakfast Quinoa

Many of us are stuck at homes under lockdown, and it’s important to look after ourselves and eat healthily. But healthy doesn’t have to be dull and flavourless! Today, I’m coming with a healthy breakfast treat recipe. Perhaps slightly less healthy than a smoothie from leafy greens, but still made with natural ingredients, low in fat and sugar, but packed with protein and macro elements. And most importantly – delicious!

Simple Cauliflower Vegan Curry Recipe

Simple Cauliflower Vegan Curry Recipe

Is there any food better than spicy, aromatic, warming curry for this cold, miserable winter season? I don’t think there is! This is what keeps me alive in winter, I usually end up eating some kind of curry a few times a week. And what I love about it is how simple and quick it is to make – hardly any effort involved! You can easily multiply the ingredients and prepare dinner for a few days in one go – it tastes just as good when heated up the next day. 🙂

Festive Gingerbread Porridge

Festive Gingerbread Porridge

I’m a great, unconditional fan of porridge. Some may hate it, but I certainly love it. It’s my staple breakfast which I eat on average 5 times a week – usually in the 5-minute, no-cook office breakfast version. It does its job and tastes great, but I’m always more than happy to use a chance to cook my porridge. Being in the festive season, I decided to create a Christmas version of my favourite breakfast. Here’s a recipe for my perfect festive, warming, aromatic, gingerbread porridge!
