It’s that time of the year again, when ghouls and goblins come out to play, and we all get to unleash our inner artists. Yep, I’m talking about Halloween and the enchanting art of pumpkin carving. In this post, I’m going to take you on a journey through the history of Halloween and pumpkin carving and share my own pumpkin carving shenanigans from the past two years. Handmade Cards 2023
Another year, another post summarizing my cardmaking! Making annual posts with my handmade cards has become a tradition now, and I couldn’t miss it. It’s also great for myself, having all my cards documented here every year. They serve as a fantastic source of inspiration too when I need it.

If you live in the UK, you’ve probably seen the chain store named the Works. If you’re also an arts and crafts enthusiast, you probably know that they have a wide range of affordable supplies, and often run multibuy offers on various DIY activity kits. I recently used one of the sets I purchased a while ago – a bath bomb making kit.
Scrapbooking Cat Notebook
When it comes to gifting, I always overthink the topic, making sure the presents I give to my nearest and dearest have a personal touch. If someone mentions a thing they desire, I note it down even if their birthday is months away. If I’m out and about, shopping, and see something unique that would make a perfect gift for someone I know, I buy it and store in my little gift stash, ready for the next occasion. And sometimes, I decide to make the presents myself.
Sticker Mosaics – Stress Relief Book
I’ve tried various types of adult activity book. The earliest trend I remember was for detailed colouring books for adults. Then, I found a connect-the-dots book with hundreds of dots per image. These activity books are great as stress relief, a good one to try if yoga or meditation aren’t your thing. They’re also fun to do!
Handmade Cards 2022 (7 designs)
The traditional, annual post with all of my handmade cards of the year. This time, featuring seven cards in different designs and techniques – quilling, drawing and watercolour painting.
Acrylic Painting By Numbers Canvas – Panda
It’s been a while since I posted any of my crafts, I know (or posted anything at all, for that matter). Summer in the UK seems so short, especially for a heat-loving individual like myself, that I like to spend every second of it exploring new outdoor spaces. Craft projects are left for long, autumn and winter evenings at home. That being said, I do occasionally start a small DIY project in the summer, it just takes me ages to complete it.

July 2021
Another month has gone and we’re now closer to 2022 than 2020. Where do all the days go?! Time flies so fast. Last month, I decided to post a summary of my highlights of June 2021. I feel like it’ll be nice to look back on in the future, so I decided to make it a tradition and write up an overview of July 2021 as well. In all honesty, things I did at the beginning of the month feel like such a distant past, I’m actually amazed with how much I manage to fit in one month. One thing’s sure – I’m really good at keeping myself busy all the time.
DIY Botanical Watercolour Paintings
It feels like forever since I posted any of my crafts. The truth is, I usually don’t spend much time on crafts in the summer. Warm weather and sunshine seem so rare and precious, I choose them over pretty much everything else. But that doesn’t mean I don’t have any older projects to share! This one came in two parts, and as it often is with my crafts, I started working on it around July last year and then life happened and I got distracted. When I finally completed it, it was… February this year, I think.
Handmade Cards 2021 – 2
I recently posted a summary of the first small batch of handmade cards I made this year. This time, I want to recap of the second batch of 2021 cards, with cards I made for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and my mum’s birthday.
