DIY Tiger Plushie – Learning To Crochet – Amigurumi Crocheting

One of my goals for this year has been to learn to crochet. I originally tried to make the first steps last year, but gave up almost right away. This year, I’ve actually managed to learn the basics, starting my journey with crocheted Easter eggs. More recently, I made some cute avocado coasters. Today, I’d like to share with you my most recent project – a crocheted tiger plushie. I used an assorted DIY kit and managed to successfully complete the project without major issues. DIY Acrylic Stained Glass Ornament – Hummingbird

If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you probably know that I love trying out various arts and crafts. I usually discover them through assorted kits; that’s how I fell in love with cross stitching, it’s how I first tried needle felting, and now I’m also learning to crochet with assorted DIY kits. Most recently, I was in a discount store when a new type of craft caught my attention: a DIY acrylic stained glass-like ornament. I couldn’t resist buying an assorted craft kit for around £3, so naturally, I bought it. Here is how working on this project went!

Handmade Cards 2025 – 7 Designs – Quilling, Watercolour, Acrylics

It’s this time of year again – I’ve officially completed all of my handmade cards for 2025, and I’m ready to share this year’s designs with you. From my traditional quilled cards to some acrylics and watercolour painted designs, there’s a good variety of techniques I managed to use this year. Mini Botanical Cross Stitch Designs – RHS – April, May, June

Cross stitching is one of my favourite relaxing hobbies. Ever since I picked it up a year and a half ago, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it. I have now completed dozens of small designs, and I’m always on the lookout for new projects to work on. I usually buy assorted cross stitch kits with cute designs and all supplies included in the box. A couple of months ago, I got a set with 12 small designs, one for each month of the year. The designs are inspired by flowers that bloom at different times of the year, and the set itself is branded with the Royal Horticultural Society. For a plant lover like myself, this kit is perfect! I decided to share my progress on this blog after every quarter. This time, I’d like to present the completed designs for April, May and June – featuring tulips, a bluebell and a poppy.

Learning To Crochet – Avocado Coasters – DIY Craft Kit

One of my New Year’s Resolutions for 2025 was to learn to crochet. It was challenging at the start – you can read about by troubles here – but I’m now able to complete simple crocheted projects. Recently, I managed to make two cute avocado coasters. I’m by no means a crocheting expert, but I learnt a lot when working on this project and even managed to improve between the two coasters. DIY Mini Cross Stitch Kit – Sailboat

Summer is just around the corner. Can you believe that we’re almost halfway through 2025? The weather here in the UK has been amazing for the last couple of months, and it definitely feels like summer already. So, my most recently completed cross stitch project had to reflect that. From my large stash of cross stitch sets, I chose a small sailboat design. It gave me the ultimate holiday vibes. Despite slight issues with the colours of the thread included in the set – which happens quite often with those assorted sets – I had fun cross stitching this picture. Yet another cross stitch project completed!

DIY Cross Stitch Kit – Vases With Leaves – Craft Kits For Beginners

My cross stitching adventures continue. I can’t believe it’s already been a year and a half since I started cross stitching! It’s the most relaxing craft for me. I love to grab a needle in the evening and slowly sew a vibrant pattern to wind down after a long day. This time, I wanted to share my most recently completed project, which features vases with green leaves. I really liked how three-dimensional the pattern looked, and the bright leaves made the design pop. The colours included in the set weren’t perfect, but overall, the project was a success.

Polymer clay sculpting seems to be one of the most popular simple crafts that people pick up. The amount of polymer clay jewellery making videos I see on social media is insane! I’ve had a couple of attempts at polymer clay sculpting in the past, but they weren’t particularly successful. DIY Plywood Modelling – Japanese Garden – Mini DIY Set

I’ve been thinking about trying out building mini scenes for ages. I’ve seen people creating fairy gardens, meticulously modelling and painting small elements of the scene. The project I’d like to share with you today wasn’t that elaborate, but it felt like a good start! I bought an assorted DIY kit for creating a small Japanese garden and had a lot of fun making it.

Learning To Crochet – Part 1 – Easter Eggs, Witch’s Hat

One of my resolutions for 2025 is to learn to crochet. It’s a skill I’ve wanted to master for ages, but all previous attempts last year left me feeling overwhelmed and confused. I’ve purchased numerous assorted DIY crochet kits – all labelled as suitable for beginners – and yet, none of them was good enough to actually teach me how to crochet. How frustrating! However, I never gave up the dream of being able to make myself the perfect cardigan or a plushie toy. And finally, just before Easter, I decided to dedicate a few hours to getting started. I’m happy to report that I’ve made a little bit of progress, and even completed a few simple projects! Here’s how my first couple of weeks of learning to crochet went.
