Smartie Cookies – Quick, Easy & Delicious

Smartie Cookies – Quick, Easy & Delicious

These cookies are extremely quick and easy to make, and – according to my friends and family – they’re one of the most delicious cookies you could imagine. Sweet, with an aftertaste of honey and some crunch from smarties (or M&Ms, whatever you call them).

Ingredients:

  • 100g unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 80g sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 150g plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • ~150g of smarties (M&Ms)

Mix butter with sugar. Add honey, flour and baking powder while still mixing. Add smarties, mix with your hands.

Line a baking tray with baking paper. In your hands, form balls of the dough, a little bit larger than a walnut. Place them on the tray gently pressing (you don’t want them completely flat). Leave some of space between them – cookies will grow a lot! If you wish, put more smarties on top of the cookies. They’ll nicely blend into the dough while baked.

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Bake for 10-12 minutes.

Leave baked cookies on the tray for a few minutes to firm up (they’ll be very, very soft when you take them out of the oven) and then transfer to a cooling rack.

Enjoy! And be careful – they’ll vanish before you realise. They’re the best smartie cookies ever or, if I may say so myself, potentially the best cookies in general. 🙂
