We’ve been spoiled with a hot summer in London this year, but a couple of cooler days last week were a great reminder that autumn is slowly approaching. And to me, autumn is the time for cosy, warming, comfort meals. There are a few autumnal dishes that my Mum only made when the required ingredients were in season. One of such recipes are knedle – potato dumplings with plums. You can find a recipe for those on my blog. I’ve already made them this year, they are delicious! An example of a savoury autumnal meal that I’ve always loved is leczo – a bell pepper stew. So a few days ago, I decided to recreate it. I put a little twist on it to use ingredients available in the UK, but it turned out great! It’s simple to make and certainly hits the spot. Give it a go!

One of my New Year’s Resolutions for this year was to learn to crochet. It’s been a steep learning curve so far, but I’ve managed to make some progress. I’ve been able to make cute avocado coasters, but also a whole 3D tiger plushie. This time, I chose to work on a cute star keyring. I managed to successfully complete the project, and learnt a few things in the process!

It feels like it’s been a while since I last posted a new cross stitch project! I enjoyed some other crafts recently – some of them, like the acrylic stained glass ornament, you can already see on the blog. A few others will be shared soon. But today, I’d like to share with you a cross stitch project featuring a bee with a floral wreath. I have plenty of cross stitch sets at home waiting for their turn, but the colour scheme of this bee caught my eye. Also, a little fun fact: a bee is the symbol of Manchester, a city in Northern England that I often travel to for work. I actually took this project with me for a train journey to Manchester!

This year, I had the pleasure of spending my summer holidays hiking in Tatra Mountains, in the south of Poland. It’s one of my favourite places in the world, and it’s truly beautiful! Last week, I took you on a hike to Kasprowy Wierch, one of Poland’s most famous mountains. Today, I’m taking you to Czerwone Wierchy – a long but picturesque trail through 4 mountain peaks. It includes some of the easiest to climb peaks over 2000 metres above the sea level that you can find in Poland. Join me on the photo trip!

One of my goals for this year has been to learn to crochet. I originally tried to make the first steps last year, but gave up almost right away. Today, I’d like to share with you my most recent project – a crocheted tiger plushie. I used an assorted DIY kit and managed to successfully complete the project without major issues. If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you probably know that I love trying out various arts and crafts. I usually discover them through assorted kits; that’s how I fell in love with cross stitching, it’s how I first tried needle felting, and now I’m also learning to crochet with assorted DIY kits. Most recently, I was in a discount store when a new type of craft caught my attention: a DIY acrylic stained glass-like ornament. I couldn’t resist buying an assorted craft kit for around £3, so naturally, I bought it. Here is how working on this project went!

Cross stitching is one of my favourite relaxing hobbies. Ever since I picked it up a year and a half ago, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it. I have now completed dozens of small designs, and I’m always on the lookout for new projects to work on. I usually buy assorted cross stitch kits with cute designs and all supplies included in the box. A couple of months ago, I got a set with 12 small designs, one for each month of the year. The designs are inspired by flowers that bloom at different times of the year, and the set itself is branded with the Royal Horticultural Society. For a plant lover like myself, this kit is perfect! I decided to share my progress on this blog after every quarter. This time, I’d like to present the completed designs for April, May and June – featuring tulips, a bluebell and a poppy.
