Hiking in Wye, Kent, England
Life in London undoubtedly comes with numerous perks of a big city, but it proves quite strong in opportunities to get close to the nature too, with plenty good walking spots all around the metropolis. That being said, there are times when I crave a proper hiking experience – or at least one that resembles a hike to some degree. There aren’t any proper mountain ranges close enough to London to go on a day trip, but I have managed to find a few places where I can challenge my legs by going uphill and enjoy beautiful views from a hilltop. One of those spots was near a small village called Wye, placed in the heart of Kent.

In June 2022, the UK enjoyed a four-day long weekend to celebrate the late Queen Elizabeth’s 70th reign anniversary. London was going to host a range of events, and Britons from across the country would flock to the capital to take part in the celebrations.
As fantastic an occasion as it was, I wasn’t looking forward to the city being blocked for four days straight and decided to use it as an opportunity to go on a little holiday!

London Parks – Hyde Park
If you’re planning a trip to London, there’s no doubt that Hyde Park should be on your list of must-visit destinations. A Day in Makarska, Croatia
Last year, I was lucky to be able to visit Croatia for a summer holiday. Croatia’s beautiful landscape and architecture, as well as its affordable prices, make it a great alternative to other popular Mediterranean tourist destinations like Spain or Italy. It wasn’t my first time visiting that beautiful country, but it was my first time staying in Makarska. Today I want to take you on a virtual tour around the town.
A Day in Brighton
If you’re looking for ideas for a day trip near London, consider visiting Brighton. The seaside town is one of the best known coastal towns in the United Kingdom, and for a good reason. It’s a perfect choice for a one day trip, with just the perfect number of must-see tourist attractions, all of them packed in the town centre. I visited Brighton in the summer and now want to take you there on a virtual trip.
London Parks – Richmond
Richmond Park, London. One of my favourite places in this wonderful city. Located in the south-west of the metropolis, the park covers 9.5 square kilometres, which makes it nearly three times larger than New York’s Central Park. Perfect for a day trip, the park also offers a unique opportunity for getting close to the nature – and it doesn’t cost a penny!
