Valentine Anise Cookies

Valentine Anise Cookies

As we probably all know (it’s hard not to notice the ubiquitous heart-shaped, pink decorations wherever you look) – it’s Valentine’s Day this week. I hope all of you who celebrate it have a lovely time with your partners. Even though I’m not convinced by the commercial aspect of this holiday (you should show your love and appreciation every day, not once a year through buying overpriced themed gifts), I do enjoy all those cute, pink, themed things that we see everywhere at this time of year and I gave in to that mood.

I decided to bake one of my favourite – and one of the simplest – cookies, adding a bit of food colouring to make them pink.

I’ve already posted the recipe (click here to check it out). It’s extremely simple (although a bit strange) and the anise makes them taste like no other cookies you’ve had before. Don’t let the simplicity of the recipe and plain appearance deceive you, the taste is rich and I strongly recommend that you give them a try!

  1. They look like sugary goodness ๐Ÿ˜ lol Valentines is about love which is a broad word to say the least. So while you may not have someone there with you physically, you have us! With that I say Happy Valentine! Much love to you and thanks for sharing your world with us ๐Ÿ˜ŠโœŒโค
